A former medical assistant mentioned, "I can tell you this I worked at HCA Healthcare for 3 years and it was one of the worst jobs I have ever had. It was like being in high school people talk about you behind your back. Management is horrible, they appear to have ur back but will talk to other managers about you when ur not around. Pay is terrible even when you have tons of experience in your field. Look for other places to work you will not be happy here trust me."

Former Employee - Talent Acquisition says"I worked at HCA Healthcare full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Senior HR/TA leaders lack emotional intelligence. Culture is not inclusive. You will grow into leadership at HCA if you are a white male. If not, you will waste valuable time working for leaders that do not appreciate you. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are all major concerns here."
Patient Care Technician (Former Employee) says"I wouldn’t recommend HCA to anyone! At first the management seemed as if they cared, they don’t! Once you voice your opinion on things, you immediately have a target placed on your back! Don’t try to stand up for yourself, or you will have a target on your back and they will do any and everything to get you out. Staffing to patient ratio is very unsafe. Employees are overworked and expected to do the job of 3 people.... RUN! As fast as you can!! This company will run you into the ground while they sit in their office and not help at all! Cons: Management, staffing, pay"
Medical Secretary (Former Employee) says"I do not recommend to work at HCA Healthcare UK. RN Staff Nurse (Former Employee) says"I wasted 5 years in this so-called Healthcare. They claimed the pay for 6 holidays, but in reality, they pay you with your own PTO. expensive med insurance, treating employees as disposable garbage. Turnover rate is off the charts. Management does not care about staff or patients. Patient care is horrible and unsafe due to the severe understaffing. Beware of discrimination and harrasment that corporate does nothing about. Do not waste your love for patients there. Find better place. Cons: Harrasment, vindication towards wistleblowers, low pay, bad benefits."
Medical office Assistant (Current Employee) says"This company does not represent their slogan. They are about their numbers and money. Policy and rules changes daily. In family practice setting, management is unstable, there's a lack of communication, no consistency, favoritism, and the list goes on. Going to ethnics is a joke or up chain of command if there's a problem. However, I love the aspects of my job (CCMA) but I don't like the environment and the company I work for. If your mentally strong enough, you can manage."
Lab Assistant/Phlebotomist (Former Employee) says"Overworked and underpaid!! EVS and Cna get more pay. Not enough staff always working short with no lunch breaks. Belittled when not fast enough. I would not recommend working for Hca"

ICU RN (Former Employee) says"This company is absolutely horrible to work for. They are very money hungry and care more about the money than patient care. Patients are the last thing on their mind its only money. Its very sad. I had to leave after a year because it just didnt match up with my morals."

Registered Medical Assistant (Former Employee) says"Work for HCA if you want to be taking advantage of, like working understaffed (everyday) have a schedule full of patients to complete by yourself which in fact becomes very dangerous, plus all the other work that is dumped on you then this is the place for you! Company is all about money, could care less about patient care. Practice manager has absolutely NO idea what she is doing. High turnover and underpaid! Run from this place! Cons: Everything"
Hudson - ICU Unit secretary (Current Employee) says"Does your name start with a number? No well it will as soon as you step in to HCAs Regional medical center bayonet point. It is toxic to any employee that isn’t a doctor or upper management. Many of the directors will talk down to you simply because they can. The wages will never be fair, they will take any opportunity to write you up as an employee. Your fellow employees will take any chance to stab you in the back in an attempt to get on managements good side."
Cashier/ IT/ Call Centre (Former Employee) says"Management have no care for their staff and talk to them with no respect. Mangers operate a 'do as i say not as i do' approach which was told to me numerous times."
Patient Representative (Former Employee) says"If I could give zero stars I would. This company prides itself on ‘being family’ while immediately turning around and abusing employees. Managers force you to travel to different locations ever shift, your pay doesn’t reflect the amount of work or travel related to your job, there is no support when dealing with irate customers (or abusive staff) and they were quick to screw their employees as soon as Covid started. Not to mention their lack of care for both employee and public health, they just want the money and they will be sure to get as much as they can out of every single patient it’s disgusting"
Victoria says"I have worked here for over three years. Low pay, no support from management, understaffed and Terrible morale"
Never again! says"They suck! Plain and simple!! Will never work for them or their fucked Appledore branch. "
IT HCA 20+ Years says"I worked at a Service Center which is controlled by HCA IT. Getting anything remotely helpful from corporate is impossible. It is usually demands or changes you have to make within a short time frame. They are always looking to cut costs and does not matter who has to pay the price in lost productivity and headaches. I would rather work for McDonalds. We get 2% raises every year for the past ten years. HCA is doing great, btw. Trump tax cuts and stock is sky rocketing. But, you could not tell that from the penny pinching HCA management. They totally suck!!!"
Doc says"HCA is a for profit organization designed to rape our healthcare system, providers of care, and patients. They continuously propagandize about caring for patients, providing amazing care, etc when their only true value is returning value to shareholders. They have absolutely unsafe nursing ratios in their ERs, and threaten nurses and doctors who complain about them with termination, I have multiple documents where we were made to sign stating we would not complain about working conditions. While I have worked at centennial medical center ER, I have never seen such a revolving door of unhappy, depressed, used up, and burnt out nurses. They treated them like cannon fodder. No support from administration. Their safety is not valued, their license unvalued. They wanted to get nurses form the Philippines in order to not give them a raise. Physicians are treated like data entry widgets, devalued, and forces to provide customer like you work at chick fil a to the customer. They wanted us to say “my pleasure” like a good service worker in an ER, narcotic overuse was encouraged as to satisfy the customer. It’s abhorrent, and a horrible conflict of interest that these businessmen are being allowed to train nurses and doctors. Horrible, Horrible culture, horrible ethics. Stay away For the sake of medicine and nursing, do NOT work for these evil assholes. They have too much power. Their business department is all that matters. Clinical staff are treated like absolute garbage. Boycott this wall street owned evil for profit entity. "
